House Groups
Home groups are an important part of our DNA. They are where we strengthen our faith through prayer, social activities and by studying the Bible, relating it to real life issues in honest and open discussion. When we meet together like this, it affirms us in our faith, challenges us and is invariably fun!
In the Bible, the Apostle Paul writes to his friends and asks them to “encourage one another and build each other up” (1 Thessalonians 5: 11) and that’s what our home groups are all about.
Tuesday House Group – 7.45 pm
This group meets to read the Bible with the aid of other source material such as DVDs and commentaries. This is followed by tea or coffee and cake. All are welcome – if you are interested please call the Church office on 877517 for more information.
Thursday House Group – 7.30 pm
This group meets in the Youth room at Church. They begin with a brief session of singing and follow this with Bible study and finish with an open prayer session.
All are welcome – if you are interested please call the Church office on 87751 for more information.
Occasional Short Study Sessions
Tony, our Minister, leads these sessions in a home environment on specific subjects relating to the Bible. The last one was on methods of interpreting the bible (‘hermeneutics’ is the posh word).
Again all are welcome – information on each session will be put in our Sunday notice sheet.
All these sessions are great fun as well as being faith-building. They are for all who wish to learn more about the Bible and grow in their faith.
